This hands-on lab teaches you to build a simplest possible Web application using NetBeans.  This lab will teach you how to setup a simple servlet and JSP application. You will also learn the structure of a Web application. Requirements for this exercise is to install the following software on your computer.  

  • Java Standard Development Kit (JDK) version 6.0 (download)
  • NetBeans IDE 6.1 (download
Once you are done with JDK and NetBeans IDE installation, you can download the following source code that will give you step by step instruction to build your first J2EE web application. (download)
